The Little Things (69, to be exact!)

Yeah, I hate these too. Thing is, you can learn a lot about folks by the little things.. So if you're inclined to wade through the insignificanly significant details of my life... read on... A few of my answers suprised even me..

1. What time did you get up this morning?
What time does Eyewitness News at Noon start?

2. Diamonds or pearls?
Don't care much for jewelry.. Seems to be a colassal waste. My wedding ring cost ten bucks at a mall kiosk. I don't want an upgrade.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
Walk The Line.. I came away wanting someone to love me as bad as Johnny loved June and then it occured to me... he does.

4. What is your favorite TV show?
Tough call. I was blown away by Six Feet Under, used to really dig Curb Your Enthusiasm.. Lately I've been into C.S.I, Cold Case, House.. all those crime solving hi-tech wonders.. Am so burned out on reality television..

5. What did you have for breakfast?
Seriously? This is embarrassing.. Cheese sauce and tortillas. I DID HAVE COFFEE THOUGH!

6. What is your middle name?

7. What is your favorite food?
Sushi, Burritos, Nachos, Doritos and all those other O's...

Diet Coke

15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be?
Tough call cuz I've never been to Europe (Spain, Italy, France...) but at this point it feels like an obligation and I just need to get it done already. I'd rather go somewhere exotic like Bora Bora, Costa Rica, Vietnam or Hong Kong.. a place that would permanently change the way I view the world.

16.What color is your bathroom?

17. Favorite brand of clothing?
Who fucking cares.. Ain't a brand girl.. Target jeans make my ass look good I'm buyin' 'em..

18.Where would you retire?
West Coast.. somewhere quaint and very green. Or in a cabin by a lake.. Trees are a must! Green, green, green!

When the horizon has nearly swallowed the sun but night hasn't made her elegant presence known yet.

I get these on an occasion in my email. Some are fun, some are not.

But you haven't been to Virginia to have fun on the James River, Monica. You can swim, ski, boat, jet ski, fish and all that stuff. :) Spent younger childhood days there camping off the bank.

Lakes are nice just not many big one's here to explore things.

Enjoyed reading this though.

2. Diamonds or pearls?

I am a Tiffany's wannabe girl! LOL I was looking on their website last night for rings for my b/f, hopefully a wedding ring! LOL
They have so many beautiful things on their website!
January 24, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterJen
Y'know.. I don't know what it is.. but I've never been a jewelry gal.. The Tiffany necklace was a gift from my best girlfriend Lisa.. I've just never been into jewelry.. which isn't to say I don't think it's beautiful. I just never really wanted any.

Jewerly isn't much my thing either. I have never had my ears pierced ever.

Only thing I wear is one of those rubber bracelets that I got for donating $2.00 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I love jewelry! Which is not to say i have a lot of expensive jewelry. I'm into essential pieces. The stuff you love and you wear for any occassion. The perfect earrings, bracelet, ring for you.

For everyday I wear my wedding rings, a white gold ring my husband gave me and the diamond earrings I got for the trifecta of having my daughter, turning 30, and our 5 year anniversary. (It all happened in a matter of weeks.) I said i would wear them everyday if i got them, and I do- work, the park, out to dinner. I love them.

oh, #27 made me laugh out loud. Truvie! I've only seen Steel Magnolias about a million times. One of just a handful of movies my mom splurged and bought on VHS that my sister and I can quote verbatim. Don't get me started on When Harry Met Sally.

January 25, 2006 | Unregistered Commenterjoey

No vacation with my childhood family.. We could barely afford furniture for the house, let alone vacation. I did go to London earlier this year with The Surge... does that count?
January 25, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterMonica
"Pecan piiiiiiee... pecan piiiiie..." *said with a distracted look on face*
God I love that movie. The dialogue just sticks in your head. Nora Ephron wrote that one, right?

Hmmm.. beg to differ on the family vacation thing. We went to Disneyland and huntington beach...oh yes we soooo did. And....your brother is NO LONGER driving your Dodge Durango. We need to talk.

Disneyland, once. I forgot.
January 26, 2006 | Registered CommenterMonica
Funny stuff. But seriously, your ring cost ten bucks? I admire that. It's about the promise and the love you share for one another.
The only piece of real jewelery I own is a pair of pearl earrings my brother and his wife gave me for Christmas. My favorite piece is a ring I bought in Amsterdam for $20 in 1994 that I have worn every day since I bought it. Love your blog by the way.
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered Commenterbettyonthebeach
yeah,ONCE.and of course you forgot
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered Commentermama
Disneyland? You forgot Disneyland? Shit - that's vacation! It's better than Colonial Williamsburg, that's for damn sure. And Dutch Wonderland. Eck.
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered Commentertallchickbarbara
Well of course Disneyland is better than Colonial Williamsburg. But still if your a history buff Colonial Williamsburg is good for something. I got to support my states tourist industry. ;)
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterFiabug
My dad was born in Norfolk, VA, so we've seen plenty of Virginia growing up. An Italian Family in Virginia...pretty funny. The thing is, we didn't get to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg - we just walked down Duke of Glouscester street and took pictures in front of William and Mary. It sucked. Sucked sucked. Suckety sucked.

Mama...if I were on your vacation, I would have NEVER forgotten. I always told you you should've given Monica up instead of me! (weeps in hands).
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered Commentertallchickbarbara
I can never do these things. I'm too indecisive. Pepsi or Coke. Who can choose!
January 26, 2006 | Unregistered CommenterBuffy
