New Song Blowing My Mind

Last month it was this.

This month it is this. The video is pretty kickass too. I tend to wear a song out. None of this occasional listening business for me. I like a song I put it on repeat... for a few weeks. I dive into it, shower in it, bathe in it, roll in it, hold hands with it, have sex with it... Then I drop it faster than Kim K drops husbands and move on to my next conquest. Even as I type this, I am making major love to this song... The key is to crank the volume as high as possible, so high your bones feel the music, so loud your ears hurt. Close your eyes and just listen. And breathe. And listen. And breathe. And listen...

What's your favorite song right now this second?

This would be my current nugget of musical obsession! Makes me laugh and also feel like I'm 22 and hanging out at the bar again.

When The Night Falls In, which is off The Stands, Horsefabulous Album. I have had this CD for years, but found it in the back of the cupboard last week. It's nice to revisit old songs.

I like that Dan Deacon song, but I LOVE these two by Gotye (and the videos are pretty awesome too): (Somebody That I Used to Know) (Hearts a Mess)

I also love Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes - and your video to it, Monica. :)

@Monica, I have! <3 That was the first time I ever really "listened" to it. All the other times I'd heard it, we could say I was less than sober...

Don't really have a favorite song right now, but I'm loving Bon Iver. And Eddie Vedder is an all time fave...

OMG I do the same thing - put a song on repeat and listen to it over and over and over again. Sometimes on my daily commute a song on my iPod will strike a nerve and I turn it up and listen to it again and again until I'm good and satisfied. This, much to the dismay of my random seatmate who has to put up with the earspray for an hour or more! Today it's "Time to Say Goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman. I've heard the song a thousand times, I've always liked it, but today I just can't get enough of it. Oh to have a voice like that....!
