Reader Appreciation Giveway: Personalized Stackable Stacking Rings

Remember how I don't have a wedding ring? My first one broke and I've never really found anything to replace it other than a steady succession of cheap rings that broke or turned my finger green.

Until now.

Behold, my favorite-est ring(s) ever.

When I went to Blogher last year I presented an award at the SocialLuxe Lounge:

Good stuff. Except so many people ordered so many drinks for me that I don't remember much of the rest of the night. But, well, that's another story that only Ms. Katie Allison Granju knows (Katie has a brand new beautiful blog, by the way!) and it shall never be told here and yet, now that I recall the evening, I feel a flush creeping up my cheeks and it seems that tossing another thank you in her general direction would be appropriate.

So Blogher was... interesting. Perhaps the greatest thing I came away from the entire event with - aside from the firm feel of former real housewife Jill Zarin's tight, Spanx-encased ass beneath my fingers - was in the goodie bag the girls from SocialLuxe gave me for presenting because it contained the aforementioned new "wedding ring" I now wear.

Cinnamonsticks on Etsy has this line of personalized stackable stacking rings that I absolutely love. Canela, a mother of six (where does she find the time?!) makes each ring from start to finish. You can wear one, three (like me!) or more if you want.

The fine silver rings are hand-fused, forged and stamped then oxidized to bring out the letters. Each ring usually costs $18 but the lovely Canela is offering a ring to three lovely readers! All you gotta do is tell me what name you'd have stamped on the ring and why. Be sure and leave your email so I can contact you if you win and get your ring size, the name you'd like on the ring and, of course, your address. If, like me, you want more than one ring you can always buy more from cinammonsticks Etsy shop for 10% off if you use the discount code "thegirlwho." I'll announce the winner Wednesday!

uh-oh, the first entry never wins. maybe this won't be the first by the time it posts......anyway, I'd definitely do one ring for each kids and then probably my husband or my dad who passed away. But I would wear the one for my dad around my neck.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLiz

I'd have my daughter's name stamped on the ring. Avery was born on 12/30/2010 and passed away from complications from Trisomy 18 on New Year's Day, 2011. She was only alive for a couple of days but she changed my entire life.

I would have my daughters name, Hana. I wasn't supposed to be able to have kids, I had a major case of PCOS, endometriosis and a few other things going on. I had several miscarriages when I was in my early 20's and in my mid twenties I had surgeries and underwent fertility treatments that failed miserably. Well by the time I was 29 I had completely given up on having a baby of my own, but on my 32nd birthday I got pregnant the old fashioned way. I had a few early labor scares but my Hana was born at 33+6 and healthy.

The spelling of her name, Hana, means "happy" and her middle name is Dawn, so her name means "Happy Sunshine" and even now that she is almost two and drives me batshit crazy, I know how incredibly lucky I am to have her and I wouldn't trade her (or the wait for her) for the world.

I, like you, have three loves that I would love to have with me at all times... Jesse (my husband), Eleanor (daughter) and Joey (son).

If I won one of these, I'd probably use the birthday money that's been burning a hole in my pocket for all of a week to order the other two so I'd have a full set. But a mama can't show favoritism to one child or another, so I guess I'd start out with my husband and go from there.

My sister works really, really damn hard and I think she'd love to stack two of these to represent her kids, Desmond and Maxwell. So, my entry is for Des (and if I win, I'll buy her Max to match). :)

Size 7, I suppose? If I win, I'm happy to let Canela choose which looks best either one saying "Desmond" and the other saying "Maxwell" or one saying "Des" and the other saying "Max" - so they match.

Very cool, Monica. Very cool indeed.

So unoriginal but I would get my husband Adam, and 2 sons Chase & Caden. Caden will be 1 in May and ever since I was preggo with him my fat little sausage fingers do not allow me to wear my wedding band or engagement ring so this Like yours would take it's place.

Those are lovely! I'd have Dante stamped on my ring, the name of my beloved 12-year-old kitty who died of cancer and heart disease in January. I wanted to have his ashes made into a gemstone, but that's very expensive. I'm not married and I don't have kids, but I was a mother to him, and I think about him every day. I'd love to have a daily reminder of how much he means to me. He brought so much joy into my life and taught me a lot about love and sacrifice through his illness. =)

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSamantha

These are lovely! I'd have to go with my love Ryan and then order 2 more with my sons names on them!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMelody

My children's names Lexi or Lucas and I would buy the other, I have actually looked at these just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterkacy

I would get my husband's name, John, since it's just the two of us so far. I work in a warehouse and while I do normally wear my engagement/wedding ring, I am always worried about getting it caught on something or chipping it.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLindsey

How sweet. I would get the name of my dear husband to be, Geoffrey. Thanks!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCristin

Loooove these! I would get one for each kid for my right hand, Bridges and Sunny. My husband surprised me at Christmas with a lovely wedding ring (after 17 years of marriage!). I never really wanted a ring, but as I get older I understand more about celebrating our relationships and commitments.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCynthia Coffey

I love these rings! I have them pinned too. I would have to get three, one with my husbands name, Dave and one for each kiddo, Dylan and Harper!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBeccaV

Love these! I'd get my daughter's name, Saskia, who is named after the wife of Rembrandt. And then I'd order rings for myself and my husband.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterChantal Sulkow

Yes please!!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKaren Kelly

I, too, am entering for my sister, Amy Brewer, who inspires me every day by just being who she is. She cleverly managed to have both of her kids have the same initials, so I would get "cnb" printed on hers.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMz Pamela

Very cool idea! I would like three rings: Jesus (my lord & savior), Eric (my husband) and Jonah (my only child). I wear a size 8.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGrace Miler

These are beautiful! I'd love to win them for a dear friend, one of the only ones who makes me feel totally secure in our friendship. She's also a reader but with a newborn probably not doing much reading at the moment. I'd have her husband's name and her two kids names engraved.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKat

I have three daughters, so I'd put their names on them. I've been looking for something like these rings for a while...they're simple, but awesome!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMisty D.

I'd have my father's name, Randy, on the ring. He passed away suddenly last September at the young age of 60. I won't go into the painful details, but it's been a rough 6 months without him. I would love to be able to look down at these sausage fingers he passed on to me (thanks Dad) and see his name rather than pay attention to my damn sausage fingers.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSwayer

I love these! I would get Henry for my son, Nick for my husband and Missy for my little sister who past away last month from brain cancer. Or maybe I would get mine name and my sisters names (Jennifer, Sarah, Melissa) for my mom for mothers day... either way, I love them! Thanks!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSarah

Love love these rings. I would have three as well- Grant, Purslane and Knox- my three loves.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterChristy

I would have my son Miles's name stamped on the ring because after three years of Cancer treatment, he is doing fine and almost finished with chemo! I would wear it to celebrate his second chance at life.
I'm a size 6.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMod Mom Beyond IndieDom

Ooh - i love me some personalization! I'd definitely get my sons name - emilio ! If I could get two I'd get my husbands name too - but I'd do his nickname - bay :)

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAdrienne

i would have my daughter's name, emma who was born last year.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSilvia

I would get my daughter, Lenora's name on it. After a lengthy struggle with infertility, she is everything I have ever dreamed of, truly worth all of the struggle and heartbreak.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSarah

Pretty! I love silver rings. If I won, I would want my ring to say Kyle, for my son who was born and died in September of '83. He was my firstborn, and I have other grown children now, but I still think about the 'what ifs' all the time. I still just like seeing his name. I'm a size 8.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJodie

LOVE them! If I don't win, I'm buying one for sure. I would get the name "Jack" on the ring. It's the name of my almost 9 month old son. I'm obsessed with the kid. :)

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterErin

I love these so much! My sister-in-law has a set that I've been jealous of forever. I would have to buy extras so I could have my four boys' names.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJesse B.

My son, James.

It took almost 2 years to conceive, and he was well worth the wait!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSharon H

Love! My wedding rings have been in their lonely little box on my dresser since pregnancy gave me a lovely case of sausage fingers. My baby girl arrived Thursday morning (!!) so maybe I will be able to get them back on sometime before she goes to university.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

Mine would read, "HLG"

Or maybe "The Shadow," which is what he always used to tell me when he was little that he wished we'd named him.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKatie

For my husband & 2 babes.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterB

I've been coveting these rings since I first saw them... how I'd LOVE to have them! My son's name would of course be the first ring I got and I'd love to add, while we add to our family in the future.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCasey

Those are super cute!
I'd have to get two but if I won I guess I'd start with my first born, Kiana.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJaime O

I would do my husband's name: Jeff. But then I'd have to buy two more and have them stamped with my son's names: Jackson and Lucas. Thanks!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTracey

I would get my husband, Dan and my kids Myla and Jace. I'm also sending this link clueless husband as hint for my Easter basket present...

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterbridgitt

I would just put the word "okay". I love my husband and daughter! But I would want the okay to remind me that everything is okay, or will be. And to be more accepting of some things we have been going through. In fact I would put it on all 3 rings, because I think it would be funny. Like: okay, okay, okay! Well, it would be funny to me!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAlexandra

My girls: Anna and McKayla for the two most beautiful gifts I've ever been given.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterHeidi

I would get the name "Staloney" written on it. Staloney is sort of like "Brangelina" (remember that?) and represents my two families - my biological one, and the blended family that was formed when my mom remarried when I was 12. I wear my wedding ring on my left hand, and I think this would be a beautiful right hand ring tribute to my family.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKJ

I'd have my sons name, Ronan. Took 6 years of trying for him!!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterStacia

I'd have my precious late husband's name on the winner...and I'd buy a companion with our beautiful daughter's name to wear together. It's been 20 years since he died and I still haven't found the right ring to wear on that lonely finger. What a lovely tribute to the ones we love!!!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLM

Oooh, I think I would have the name of my home town, which I'm currently very far away from. Cute.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKimbo

Very pretty

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNancy

OK, reading the instructions would probably be a good idea. 3 rings the 2 kids and my husband - simple and lovely.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNancy

I would get "Claire" since I have a ring with my son and husbands name already! She wouldn't be left out any more!

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSara Garland

I would get llama, bear and Archer and size 7 please!

Llama is what I can my fiance, bear is what he calls me, and Archer is our vivacious 19 month old.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSara

I'd get a ring that says Nick, to honor our son who died of an alcohol/drug OD in June 2009. I've been thinking of getting his name tattooed somewhere, but tattoos kind of scare me, so this would be so cool.

March 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGeri

Bryan, for my husband
