Reader Appreciation Giveaway: P.S. From Aéropostale

***Comments closed! Winners announced here.

Today's giveaway comes to us from the fine folks at Aéropostale who have a really great selection of summer styles for kids over on P.S. From Aéropostale. There are a couple cool things going on over there: they've got a mix & match section (2 for $12) and, as most parents know, having a bunch of mix & match options when dressing your maniac of a toddler (or when they dress themselves) is super handy. The second thing I dig about the site is the Trend Alert section. It showcases the latest styles, a bonus for busy parents who can barely keep up with the trends for people their own age let alone be on point with the hip happenings in the fashion world of the younger set.

I'm loving this striped maxi dress for Violet. (Can purchase here for $19.)

With summer on the way (allegedly) Aéropostale has generously offered to give away two swim suits; one for a boy and one for a girl (I've got my eye on this one for Violet.) All you've gotta do is leave a comment telling me your favorite summertime activity and whether or not you have a girl or boy (don't forget your email so I can contact you if you win.) On Thursday I'll randomly choose two winners (boy/girl) and connect you with Aeropostale so you can pick the appropriate size and give them your shipping info.

I'll go first: favorite summertime activity is probably going to the lake near our house for a refreshing swim or sitting on the back porch with a cold one watching the kids play in the pool. Your turn...

By the way, Aeropostale is looking for moms! If you live in the areas of their grand openings you can get lots of perks for signing up including 30% off your total purchase during grand opening weekend. For more information or to sign up click here.

I love taking the kids to the drive-ins. We bring our own popcorn and candy and a ton of pillows and
blankets and stay up late watching movies. There is something so summery ( is that a word?!) about it! I have a 5 year old girl that has outgrown her bathing suits from last year. Crossing my fingers!

Favorite summertime activity is taking my toddler to the splash park! So much fun to see all the little ones' reactions when the water pops up unannounced from any of the holes in the splash pad. Love it!!! He's 20 months now, and we haven't yet bought a swimsuit for him this year.
Thanks for your fun blog and posts! They make me happy!

My favorite summer activity is road trips! Does that count? It totally should! I have 2 girlies, so only a girlie suit would work for us. Thanks for the opportunity! :o)

sitting on the patio or in the pool with my son! (with a cold one)

My favorite summertime activity is going to the pool with friends. The sounds, smells, sun, and general happiness are intoxicating. I have a girl and a boy, so I'd be psyched to win something for either of them. : )

Taking my son swimming is the greatest!

My favorite summertime activity is going fishing with the kids, a boy and a girl. My son will even take my fish off which I am not a big fan of doing.

We live in the Bay Area, so summertime is often cold and foggy. We didn't do too much last summer with my now 19 month old, because he was little, but we are looking forward to doing more hiking with him and just generally trying to be outside as much as possible. We'll have to layer warm clothes over his bathing suit, but will be ready when the fog burns off. abbesol at hotmail.

My favorite summer activity is sitting out on the deck with friends having a cold beverage and watching my boys play in the yard.

My daughter talks all winter long about how badly she wants to go kayaking and camping when summer arrives again. She enjoys it so much that my favorite activity is taking her to one of the many streams we have in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. She loves to explore caves, swim, and challenge herself in the rapids. I have so many pictures of her at different ages paddling the boats and marveling over the various creatures we've found along the way.

I love taking my sons swimming.

I have a girl and my favorite summer activity is finding goodies at the farmers markets!

April 30, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterkirsten

I have a 2 1/2 year old girl and a 7 month old girl, so I anticipate my favorite summertime activity this summer will probably be lounging poolside by the kiddie pool.

April 30, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLauren

My favorite summer activity is our annual beach vacation. Not very original! But a full week by the pool/ocean? Yes, please.

I have a girl (and a boy, but the girl needs swimwear)! :)

my favorite summer activity with my son is hanging out down at the beach - he loves to bring his excavator and dig for hours!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterjessica

Favorite summertime activity is taking the kids (1 boy 1 girl) canoeing!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNicole

The beach for sure! We live a few minutes drive away from a gorgeous beach - perfect for the kiddos! We have both a boy (just turned 2!) and our brand new baby girl.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

I love sitting under the maple tree watching my girl run through the sprinklers with her cousins!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLindsey

We love going to BBQ's and taking the kids to the lake!

Gotta love Aeropostale! The deals are always fantastic, how can they not be when the regular prices are already amazing! Not sure where these guys originated from; but I remember almost 15+ years ago there was a shop out by me that sold Aeropostale before it was big in our malls. So I guess I can say I've got a history with this brand!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterHolly Carter

We LOVE building a fire in our fire pit and roasting hot dogs, making S'Mores, watching the kids have the run of the back yard and getting drunk after the kids go to bed. Lots of good memories made right here at home!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAnjanette Behunin

I love taking my sons to parks. The bigger the better. It wears them out faster!

Anyway, my favorite summer activity is camping. Preferably on a shoreline in our swim suits! Even better when all our friends are with us and the kids can splash all day! ..... Kids entertained, moms relax!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterHolly Carter

I love camping and just being outside in general, and the beach if I can get there. And I've got two girls!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPhancy

Our favorite summer activity is swimming. My kids love it, always have. My daughter is 9 and her favorite thing to tell people is that she can jump off the high dive and her Mom can't,lol. We count the days till the local pool opens and frequently go to the beach. I have both a girl and a boy, but I think my daughter would love the swimsuit the most, bathing suits are her thing!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

My favorite Summer activity is taking the kids to the beach. They have a blast, and I stress out about the water the whole time. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have something to stress out about, though. I have 2 boys and a girl, but if I have to choose one, I choose my baby girl. Boys can wear the same suit the whole Summer, but girls can never have enough swimsuits. ;-)

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBonnie

My boys are crazy for boogie boarding at the beach!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterAmelia

one of our favorite summer time activities would be going to all the local central pa state parks. we like to pack snacks, drinks and lunch and make a day of it. we might do some hiking and look for a geocache or two.. then later in the day when it warms up we divide our time between the lake and the playgrounds. ive enjoyed those activities my entire life and now i get to share them with my daughter, which when it comes down to it.. that is my favorite activity, sharing things with her. =)

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterarle jimenez

We go to the beach as often as we can, and my poor youngest mostly has hand me down bathing suits from her older sister. S she has a serious case of saggy butt all summer. She'd LOVE a brand new swimsuit!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMarya

I love bonfires at the beach but instead spent my summers in hot stuffy gyms watching high school AAU basketball.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLovebug

Every summer we go to the beach with the whole damn family- grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, etc etc, and I freaking love it. The kids get to know their cousins, I get to hang out with my most awesome cousins, and we all just have a fabulous time. I love loving my family and having such a great time in an awesome location. It is by far the highlight of my summer, and hopefully my girls', too. (The husband comes as well but I think it would be too much to say that the highlight of his summer is hanging with the in-laws.) I have two girls who would love a swimsuit!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSusan

My favorite summertime activity has been getting drunk with friends at the beach. I also enjoy annual trips to the Keys during lobster season. Considering I multiplied this year and now have a mini-me (which rules out prior years' summertime fun plans) I guess I don't know what I will enjoy, but I'm sure it will be awesome! I'm thinking bike rides to the beach and farmer's markets. I just ordered a little helmet and bike seat for her...swoon!!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKelli

My daughter and I love to sleep in a little during the summer. I'm a teacher, so the break from a pre-dawn wake-up call is pretty awesome for both of us! I have a son too, and we are looking forward to the zoo.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterLeslie

We love going to the beach a mile away from our house :)

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSarah

We spend as many summer weekends that we can (my husband is a wildland firefighter so some summers we don't get to go very often!) camping with our friends. We take the camper, the dogs, bikes, and strollers and head out to our spot in a big meadow in northern Idaho (right over the hill from us in Montana). My daughter loves it so much she loses it completely when we start to pack up, and then talks about "goin' campin'" all week long. My son just went on his first trip last weekend! He'll grow to love it just as much as his sister I'm sure!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterKatey

The Jersey Shore, has to be the best part about summer. The beach, the boards, everything!!

I have some of each, 1 girl and 2 boys!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterjennyjen

I love road trips with the kids in the summer to visit family or explore new places. My 11 year old daughter loves Aeropostale and being in the sunshine and water, so a new swimsuit would be perfect for her!!!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCecilia

I have 2 boys & a girl! Our favorite summer activity is running through the sprinkler in the backyard!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTara

My favorite summertime activity with my girls is to turn on the hose and watch the girls (7 and 4) spray each other with water. They will do this regardless of whether it is 60 degrees (brrrr) or 90 degrees (aaaaah). They even asked to bring out the hose and their bathing suits in January!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMonica Fragale

My favorite activity in the warm weather is going on day hikes on trails, especially ones that run along streams/rivers. I have a little boy.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGrace Miler

Afternoon naps in the shade.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTrish

Going to the river! Our kids love it. We love it. If we had a dog I'm sure he'd love it too!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterCarol

We love swimming in our pool...I have girl.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJessie

My favorite summer activity with my family is going to our community pool... until some kid poops in it and we have to be evacuated. Happens almost all the time!

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJoanna

My favorite summertime activity is taking my son to the local spring to swim. There is shade on the beach for me to enjoy a nice book or a trashy gossip magazine and my son and his friends can spend hours jumping off the dive platforms into the icy cold water. Living in Florida bathing suits get a ton of use.

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJen S.

My favorite summertime activity... especially on a hot day is sitting on patio swing in backyard watching my girls play, swimming in their little 3 ring rectangular pool, running through sprinkler, climbing all over swing set, chasing each other with squirt guns and having a water balloon fight. :)

May 2, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterHeidi

Camping! Preferably near a lake...go for a whole week because it's a lot of work to go for just the weekend. we have had a cold, snowy winter and i am so ready for warm weather and camping.
